Let's talk turkey! Carnucle, snood, and waffle are such lovely gobbly words. This Tom vocabulary is certainly new to me. I made the diagrammed words big, bold, and beautiful just for you!

Thank You Marie... It's very nice...
Have a good day !
That's good knowledge to have. Being a turkey hunter, I'm familiar with all his/her parts. It's amazing how noisy these birds are in the woods and they are excellent fliers. There is nothing like a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving.
BTW, I've been enjoying the Picnik.com site! It is loads of FUN and easy to use! ♥ ∞
Interesting! Didn't know an ugly old turkey had a fan and a snood :) - I thought those were reserved for fashionable ladies any decades ago!
That was wonderful!!! I think the little red thing that hangs from his chin is his waddle. Yes? No? WHo cares, we eat the whole thing anyway.......
Oh, I just love "snood." I'm just reading the book by the man who read the whole Oxford English Dictionary -- have you heard of it? If you like the word "snood," you're sure to enjoy that book.
Waffle! Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. How about you?
Gobble, Gobble!
We have turkeys wandering around our property...the boys have a turkey caller and try to bring them over :)
That is sooo funny!
This turkey postcard is beautiful! I may have to steal it for my header sometime this month! :)
I am catching up .. so busy and so not enough time
BUT
This weekend I was in a chocolate shop and they had Chocolate Turkeys and I thought of you .. alas the proprietor said NO PHOTOS!

I don't care what they're called, just the white meat, please.
I feel very turkey enlighted now.

Lovely blog! I found you through My Vintage Studio. I'll come back later! Blessings, Vanessa
I didn't know turkeys had snoods either; only know the fashionable (once upon a time) snoods.
I see no one's asked for dark meet, so it's mine!
Hmm...thanks for the detailed TURKEY.
Where are your crayons, woman? Aren't you going to color that turkey for us? ;)
Marie, check out this site, she had some vintage cards you may like:

ha ha now we even get a zoology lesson thrown in too.
Thanks for the info.
But I dun like turkey.
Snoods are supposed to be fashionable this year.
From Wall Street Journal/fashion:
"This holiday season, retailers are betting big on the snood, a cross between a scarf and a hood that, when worn over the head, is reminiscent of a babushka."
Turkeys have waTTles (or waDDles), not waFFles!
And carUNcles.
Cute postcard. And I'm very glad to get up to date on my turkey anatomy!
I love the turkey anatomy lesson...I only knew waffle and spur!
I would hve to waffle over accepting a plate of turkey waffles. Come by my place for some snail salad and stuffies!
Good morning, Marie. Back again for another PFF! Love those "turkey terms" but right now I need a cup of tea!
What a great postcard for the coming holiday. Thanks for the turkey info -- waffles ... I'm still giggling!
Happy Thanksgiving, Marie. All those turkey postcards today are a bit bizar. A very strange animal.
Thanks for the information, but think I was better off not knowing the names for a turkey's parts. "Carnucle" doesn't sound the leat bit appetizing!
Happy PFF all!
good grief! i remember that a british 1980s singer called nik kershaw (remember "wouldn't it be good"??) used to wear a snood...who knew that turkeys were wearing them long before that!
Great card and I'm tempted to print out the diagram and color it with crayons. You also made me think about waffles...and not the turkey kind. I can tell it's going to be hard to concentrate today.
The only one I'd heard of was waffles, and I'm not sure the turkey sense would be the first meaning that would spring to mind!
This is a delicious post!
I finally got mine. It might not be Friday there, but it is here.
Hi Marie...I've missed you! I haven't had time to blog hop for quite some time, so I'm trying to get caught up.
Turkey lingo is funny!!!
xo
