Thanksgiving Cowgirl - Postcard Friday #44

Thanksgiving Vintage Postcard

This is how I plan to russle up my turkey lurkey! I might have to work on my lassoing skills. I will search for a bird that is not bigger than I am though. How is this cowgirl planning to fit this guy in her oven anyway? I'm a bit early for T day but I'm hungry and have visions of stuffing dancing in my head.

Welcome to this weeks Postcard Friendship Friday! If you're visiting and would like to join in the fun we would be thrilled;) It's easy! All you need to do is:

That is so cute!! Where do you find these unique cards, anyway?

I ain't pluckin' that bad boy! Wow, what a turkey!

The card is really cute. I love the lasso and cowgirl look. Western wear was really popular in America in the 1980's. I miss feminine fashions.

Eat that damn turkey! Did you enjoy Charlie Brown's thanksgiving??????

How will he fit in her oven!? tee-hee...maybe he's really just a skinny bird under all that fluff and feathers! We had a cat like that...he looked huge until he got wet! ;)

Whoa there Daisy Duke! Russle me up that Tom Turkey! ha ha I love it!

Tanya said...

Yeee-haw! ROFL, yes, rule number one in turkey lasso-ing, never try to lasso a turkey bigger than you are!

Maria said...

For practise, you'd better find a smaller turkey first... :)
Have a nice week!
Ehem, I'm not the first to give you this valuable advice *LOL*

Well, you know those Texans; everything is bigger.

Does that say "let us know if you can't come!" from Bessie? For some reason that is adorable.

I'm going to order turkey from a local market and feed it to Daniel's parents. It'll be their first Thanksgiving!

Looks like that turkey might just win this battle! The little cowgirl should be wearing a helmet and safety glasses.

Cute postcard! Wouldn't she be a turkeygirl, though? ;-)

I am actually having trouble finding a fat turkey for Thanksgiving. Here they are usually fattened up for end-of-year celebrations; I will keep hunting!!

She's probably doing a catch-and-release thing.

Well, the gal is Sarah Palin and once that turkey gets stuffed down the slaughterhouse machine, it should fit in the oven just fine!

If you don't know what I'm talking about, find the video of Palin doing a Thanksgiving TV interview...it's like something out of a Monty Python skit!

Oh, with all the Christmas decorations and lights, I thought I'd missed Thanksgiving.

This is so funny. I swear I posted my "I'm hungry" comment on my own blog prior to reading yours. Great minds think alike (or stomachs). Ok. We've got turkey and pumpkin pie, anyone want to contribute the rest?

You are VERY early.

I collect Thansgiving postcards--I posted one yesterday with one of my vintage thingies.

I'd like to see how she fits Monster Turkey into the oven too!

Apologies for being MIA lately. I've been scanning photos taken with 35mm FILM from a 2003 trip to England. (So glad to have a digital camera now!)

Happy PFF everybody!

I can't believe you live in St. Fargeau!!! You're only about an hour from me.
You have a lovely blog and I'll take more time to read back through the posts.
I want to thank you for following my blog and I hope that you enjoy it.
If you ever want to come up to the Loiret.....

A joke for you! What weighs 909 kg (2,000 pounds for all of you inefficient, non-metric "people") and is bare to the bone? A skeleTON!!!
