Kung His Hsin Nien bing Chu Shen Tan! That's how you say Merry Christmas in Taiwan. This mailbox from the largest island of the Republic of China is quite Christmasy with its dashing green and red color combination. The choice between prompt mail and ordinary gave me a good me ho ho ho:)
Welcome to this weeks Postcard Friendship Friday! If you're visiting and would like to join in the fun we would be thrilled;) It's easy! All you need to do is:
1. Have a blast with this mail theme! Examples include: any type of postcard, a photo of a mailbox, mailman, a stamp image, postcard altered art, or simply a photo of something that you find 'Postcard Perfect' etc etc etc!
2. Link in with Mr.Linky at the bottom of this post
3. Visit as many of the other participants as possible and leave comments! That’s what a blog party is all about!
4. Link back to the party from your post so that your readers can come and see what everyone else is talking about today! Please grab the badge if you'd like to add a bit of PFF colour to your post:)

Oooop! It's not letting me put my name into Mr. Linky--could you do it for me? ((hugs)) It is so great to be back. Thank you for your kind comments and encouragement for my darling sister Clytie.
I'm drumming up a bit of interest in the Season, and I'll also remind everyone to MAIL EARLY - AND OFTEN! It's really neat to be able to reach out and touch friends and relatives with art and sentiment. I don't know that I'd go to the Orient just to drop a card in the Red Mail Box, but hey! I hear you on the Red & Green theme.
Marie, in a small way it's always Christmas in Taiwan... :) Come visit me for a very unusual cultural icon for Christmas.
Why would someone in Taiwan wish you a Merry Christmas? Wouldn't they wish you a Merry Buddhamas? Or a Merry Taomas?
Oooh, you're so sweet! Thank you, my dear! Darling Beth?! ((hugs)) I think you are the darling one!
Your mailboxes are so cheerful! I'm presuming they are separated internally, and it not all just good PR! :)
For maybe the second time I am able to follow something of your theme.
PS I am in the midst of a house move. If all goes well I'll either post very early and schedule it, or very late next week. Knowing my lack of organisational skills, it will very likely be late. :)
Those mailboxes look so Christmasy, though I'm sure it is unintentional.
I'll take ordinary over prompt any day. Just ask my family. xoxoxo :)
They looks very Christmas!
They need a third box, to the left, for "Slow".
Ordinary or prompt. ..yes that's funny. Don't we wish it was all prompt? Ordinary just means slow. ha!
Love the post -- the mailboxes and the *ordinary* and *prompt* ... too funny. Red and Green for the Holiday!
HELP, the first DollsEtc I enter doesn't work and I don't know how to remove it.

What cute Post Boxes. I like the Prompt delivery idea (does it work?).
Happy PFF
Ordinary: 2-3 weeks instead of 2-3 days?? At least they are honest.
This is funny, especially since it highlights where we have gone with terminology. We might call them "fast" and "very fast", but nothing could be ordinary. this is wonderful.
I bet the joke is there is only one bin for the two mail slots.
I think the mail boxes are adorable. Although my postcard doesn't carry a holiday theme this week I do appreciate the party! I'll see what I can come up with next week.
Wow, seasonal mailboxes!
I've got my cards out to write and mail this weekend. I love giving and receiving cards.
Happy PFF! We've only just had Sinterklaas (Saint Nicolaus) on 5 December with lots presents, chocolate and candy, and now we're moving straight ahead to Christmas. Enjoy.
That is a mouth full to say :o) I lived in Taiwan (and my brother was born there) when our dad was in the Air Force. I was in the 6th and 7th grade there, so remember quite a lot.
Blessings & Aloha!
(...after being MIA with my blog reading...I'm afraid that no one will come back :o) So, dear friend, ...I really do appreciate when you have been able to pop in :o)
Hi Marie! I was absent last week but now I'm back to wish you a holiday colored PFF!
I like that. Here in the U.S. the boxes should say ordinary and extra slow! ;)
Great mail box. I've posted two hand made postcards in honor of Hannukah.
Best wishes for whichever holidays you celebrate.
I love the mail box. How colorful and wonderful
Makes me think I had better mail the rest of my Christmas cards. Those are great boxes. Taiwan is a nice place to visit. Colorful shopping streets. I was there int he 1980's

My postcard is not holidayish, but very unique !

Marie your blog is a gorgeous idea - I love it!! I'm going to put a post up on my blog about you (if that's ok!) and definitely put your link up.
I have a whole bunch of vintage postcards in a shoe box somewhere in the house, shall I scan them and send the photos to you??
Great job well done,
Kristie xx
you know I LOVE the mailboxes! I might have to be one for Halloween next year.
xoxox
Yes, Marie ! A letter box with Xmas colors. Ours are yellow but stamps are green for ordinary and red for prompt delivery.
So the choices are slow or "Oops! We lost it!", n'est-ce pas?
;-)
I guess red and green are universal for Christmas! I will be in India for Christmas, if I ever get over this bad cold.....poopie.
I love this mailbox! How cute.
WOW!! what a lovely blog, I really like the new look, so clean and classy, good job darling. Take care and have yourself a marvelous week.
Love & Hugs

I wonder about the time difference between ordinary and prompt? It could be a matter of a few days or a few weeks. I have sent packages in the US by regular mail only to have them received across the country the next day. Must have been a fluke!
